It helps keep my blood sugar levels down. I bought empty capsules to fill so I can take it. The taste, for me, was intolerable. Will buy again even in the powder form.

I decided to give this Salacia Root Powder a try. I wasn’t sure how to mix it up because I wasn’t sure I was going to like the flavor. I finally added it to some tea. To my surprise I couldn’t really taste that it altered the flavor that much so now I’m just adding it to water for an easy way to get this in each day. The first couple of days went great. I felt better, but by the third day of drinking this, I felt this may have contributed to the way I felt so I have backed off of taking it. I’m going to check with physician on how it may interact with other meds.
All in all, I think it can be a good supplement. Every person is different so you just have to monitor how you feel against your physical activity, other meds, eating habits, etc.

I am still trying this product out, but so far so good! I feel good taking it. I have the loose powder kind and find that if I heat a little water, then add the product to that, it mixes in better. Tastes like roots and dirt. Would probably be better if it came in pill form, but I have no other complaints. I recommend at least trying this product.
